This year I decided to attend the Professional Beauty event held in Belfast. I had never been before however as I am now a blogger, I was able to get a ticket in order to attend.
The event was held in the Waterfront Hall which I thought was a pretty decent venue as it is easy to get to, and there is parking right beside it. There is also elevators and lifts, which makes is accessible for everyone. :)
Me and a friend had planned to go up, however on the day she wasn't able to attend so I headed up myself. I got lost a couple of times but thanks to Mr. Satnav I got there eventually.
The pro beauty show in Dublin last year (2015) looked amazing (on snapchat). There were lots of people about, lots of companies and a real buzz about. I was expecting something similar but on a smaller scale in Belfast but I must say I was left really disappointed.
The list of companies in attendance wasn't great, they were nearly all aimed at salons. There was missing booths where no one had turned up. On arrival I was looking for one company in particular and I have to say I could not fault them on the day. I wanted to pick up some bits from Holos skincare, and was delighted to meet the owner Niamh, who was more than nice and easy to talk to.
Me and Niamh from Holos Skincare
I picked up a facial oil from Holos and I will have a full review on it up soon. Holos skincare very kindly gave me a goodie bag on the day, as I had made a purchase and also because I was a blogger. The goodie bag was very generous and I cannot wait to try out all the goodie inside. Included in the goodie bag was an awesome bar of chocolate branded with the holos logos etc.
Lovely bits and bobs in the goodie bag
Cannot wait to try this out!
I had a look around all the stalls but had looked at everything within half an hour. Some of the stalls were very pushy and I almost was scared to stop to look as they were straight over and asking question.
The heat in the place was crazy! Everyone was fanning themselves and it wasn't a good feeling as everyone was sticky and uncomfortable.
I picked up a lot of different brochures and leaflets on the day, some of them offered monies off products and others simply was a shopping catalogue.
All in all it wasn't a great day, the only good part of it was meeting the girls at Holos skincare, apart from that I was really disappointed. I will not be returning in future years and unless you are in the industry, I wouldn't recommend going to it.
Was anyone else at it, I would love to hear your thoughts on it?
Hope you enjoyed my little run down of the Professional Beauty event in Belfast... Until next time....
Lots of Love...
