Sleek i-devine Whimsical Wonderland Collection

Tuesday, 26 July 2016
Hello

Sleek makeup has always been a brand I have liked, there makeup is affordable yet of such a high quality, the colours in the eyeshadow palettes last all day and their lipsticks have a good colour payoff.

I was soo excited when I heard they were launching a new limited edition collection of pastel shades and summer tones...

I know a lot of girls don't like colours on their eyes but I personally love it... I usually go for a purple, green or silver eyeshadow :)

I decided to treat myself to their limited edition eyeshadow palette in All the fun of the fair and 2 of the whimsical collection LIP VIP lipsticks in shades tottie and fancy pants.

Limited edition Whimsical Wonderland Collection

The shadows in the palette are absolutely stunning. I have tried the palette for a few weeks and have to admit it is one of my favourite ever palettes. I actually prefer it to my urban decay palettes... and I do love them!

The names of the shadows are all things to do with the funfair... the top row from left to right is Carousel, Shoot-the-chutes, Loop-the-loop, Ferris wheel, Twister and Teacups. The bottom row from left to right is Hit-the-bell, Swing boats, Hook-a-duck, Helter skelter, Dodgems and Hall-of-mirrors.

All the fun of the fair eyeshadow palette
£8.99

My favourites are Carousel, Ferris wheel, Hit-the-bell and Hall-of-mirrors. I cannot wait to try out so many different looks using this palette, the colours are so easily blended that you really can do a funky mix of colours.

Next up was the LIP VIP lipsticks... I usually go for dark plum colours or nudes but when I seen the pretty coral and pink colours in the whimsical collection I knew I had to try them.

£5.99 each

The shade on the left is Tottie and this is a warm pinky colour that is almost neon when applied to the lips. The right shade is fancy pants and it is a real orange coral that screams summer.

The lipsticks lasted all day and I only had to top them up twice, which for a budget friendly brand is very good. The eyeshadow lasted all day as well without creasing which equals a very happy me!

Perfection in a picture :)

So.... would I recommend these products from Sleeks new collection... YES YES YES! 100% they should be in every girls makeup collection.

You can get sleek in most superdrug stores or order directly online at sleekmakeup.

Hope you enjoyed my little review, if you have this palette I would love to hear your thoughts on it. You can find me over on facebook, Instagram or twitter.

Lots of Love...

Professional Beauty Belfast

Monday, 4 July 2016
Hello Everyone

This year I decided to attend the Professional Beauty event held in Belfast. I had never been before however as I am now a blogger, I was able to get a ticket in order to attend.

The event was held in the Waterfront Hall which I thought was a pretty decent venue as it is easy to get to, and there is parking right beside it. There is also elevators and lifts, which makes is accessible for everyone. :)

Me and a friend had planned to go up, however on the day she wasn't able to attend so I headed up myself. I got lost a couple of times but thanks to Mr. Satnav I got there eventually.

The pro beauty show in Dublin last year (2015) looked amazing (on snapchat). There were lots of people about, lots of  companies and a real buzz about. I was expecting something similar but on a smaller scale in Belfast but I must say I was left really disappointed.

The list of companies in attendance wasn't great, they were nearly all aimed at salons. There was missing booths where no one had turned up. On arrival I was looking for one company in particular and I have to say I could not fault them on the day. I wanted to pick up some bits from Holos skincare, and was delighted to meet the owner Niamh, who was more than nice and easy to talk to.

Me and Niamh from Holos Skincare

I picked up a facial oil from Holos and I will have a full review on it up soon. Holos skincare very kindly gave me a goodie bag on the day, as I had made a purchase and also because I was a blogger. The goodie bag was very generous and I cannot wait to try out all the goodie inside. Included in the goodie bag was an awesome bar of chocolate branded with the holos logos etc.

Lovely bits and bobs in the goodie bag

Cannot wait to try this out!

I had a look around all the stalls but had looked at everything within half an hour. Some of the stalls were very pushy and I almost was scared to stop to look as they were straight over and asking question.

The heat in the place was crazy! Everyone was fanning themselves and it wasn't a good feeling as everyone was sticky and uncomfortable.

I picked up a lot of different brochures and leaflets on the day, some of them offered monies off products and others simply was a shopping catalogue.

All in all it wasn't a great day, the only good part of it was meeting the girls at Holos skincare, apart from that I was really disappointed. I will not be returning in future years and unless you are in the industry, I wouldn't recommend going to it.

Was anyone else at it, I would love to hear your thoughts on it?

Hope you enjoyed my little run down of the Professional Beauty event in Belfast... Until next time....

Lots of Love...
